What You Can Expect
Our Process
In order to see if we're a good fit, we'll schedule a call where we get to know you, what's important to you, and discuss what working together would look like. If we mutually agree there could be a good fit, we will begin collecting the detailed information needed to create our initial findings. If it turns out that we are not a good fit, we will help introduce you to an advisor that might be.
This stage is all about you. What’s important to you and how you think about money is critical to your plans. We spend time in this stage to fully understand your history with money, as well as who and what is most important to you going forward. We include a deeper dive on the financial information you provided, risk tolerance, and time horizon, but go beyond that to understand motivation, fears, and values.
After understanding what is important to you and having an initial review of your finances, we’re ready to talk with you about what we initially see as ways to help you. We’ll walk through our areas of planning and highlight what is going well and where we see potential for adjustment. This is not meant to be a final recommendation, but rather a high-level overview to demonstrate the work we would do for you and a draft of the next steps.
Details matter, and we’ll not only lay out the movement of investment and retirement accounts but also outline the action plans for tax strategies, estate planning strategies, cash flow, and asset preservation. This phase will have a high level of communication and typically encompasses the first year of our working together, broken down into manageable ‘sprints’ based on topic, with introductions to your other advisors.
After the initial work to get changes made, this phase is slower, but change is constant, whether that is in your personal or professional life, or politics and the economy. However, our regular meetings with you aim to ensure that changes in your goals, your family, or your health are always kept in focus with the advice we give. Our meetings provide a cadence throughout the year and allow us to routinely review important planning areas and goals. You will also receive monthly education emails and have access to see your full financial picture, giving you a current look at your goals and wealth.
